Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced it has expanded its electronics take-back program to better meet the needs of its customers by making it easier and more rewarding to responsibly recycle, sell-back or donate used electronics.

“This new program speaks to our commitment to the environment and how we have listened to our customers and heard what they need in a recycling program”

“This new program speaks to our commitment to the environment and how we have listened to our customers and heard what they need in a recycling program,” said Terry Cronin, vice president of marketing communications. “By providing consumers and businesses with means to be responsible citizens, we are increasing the pounds of e-waste diverted from landfills, as well as extending the lives of the used electronics by donating them to a great foundation.”

With the National Cristina Foundation, consumers and businesses can donate any working computer system to schools and community groups that support people with disabilities, students at risk and economically disadvantaged persons. Toshiba will also provide a free sell-back option and will recycle the electronic at no cost if it has no value.
